Portoferraio

Portoferraio is certainly one of the most logistically strategic towns. Located on the north coast, perfectly in the center of the island, it allows you to easily reach some of the most scenic areas. In the north there are in fact the beaches of Sansone and Le Ghiaie, or the even more dynamic and lively one of La Biodola. After a long day of sun and sea you cannot miss a dinner with the typical aromas of Elba food and wine. Capoliveri

If you want to add a touch of charm to the most delicious flavours, try reaching Capoliveri. In the square of the medieval historic center you will find many restaurants and trattorias in which to satisfy your palate. Elegantly perched on the hill and linked to the mining history of the rich subsoil, this town offers some of the most unforgettable bays. The Innamorata owes its name to the ancient legend of Lorenzo and Maria, two young people whose fate was marked by the Saracen invasions in 1534 and remembered during the celebration of July 14th with a historical procession that reaches the beach. Another festival that celebrates the history and traditions of Capoliveri takes place in September and sees grapes as the protagonist. On this occasion the four districts of the town stage some choreographies on the themes of the grape harvest. The beaches of Naregno, Norsi, Lacona and Madonna delle Grazie are worthy of a careful visit and are close to some of the apartments that Prenotaelba has selected for your holidays.

Marciana and Marciana Marina

Leaving the wonders of Portoferraio behind you, don't worry, there is still much more waiting for you. If you take the road to Marciana you enter the western territory. If such beauty has whetted your appetite you can stop in a restaurant in the area to taste some fish-based delicacies. On this part of the island there is obviously no shortage of other wonderful beaches, but if you want to enchant your eyes with the most authentic nature, just before Marciana you will find the Monte cable car Huts. In just twenty minutes you will be at the top of the imposing mountain, from which you will enjoy an indescribable panorama. Anyone who has visited this point has kept its memory in their hearts, describing it as one of the most powerful experiences that Elba offers.

Campo nell'Elba

Moving to the opposite southern side of the Island of Elba you cross the borders of Campo nell'Elba, set in a breathtaking gulf. The beaches to mention are Cavoli and Fetovaia, but not in order of beauty, because here too the bathing possibilities are numerous and all equally captivating. Trekking and mountain biking are among the favorite sports entertainment for visitors, who praise the richness of flora and fauna and the possibility of getting close to the remains of millenary settlements. A perfect view of the entire area is gained from the hamlets of Sant'Ilario and San Piero, home to ancient granite quarries from which monuments of exquisite workmanship came to life and where the processing of still continues today strong>granitois alive thanks to the work of the stonecutters' cooperative.
